We were extremely lucky to be invited to the wedding of Andrew & John this weekend @chateaudebrives. It was the most incredible day, again having an excellent team of suppliers making this amazing day happen. We were totally spoilt by the absolutely delicious creations from @novelle_traiteur and head chef Quentin…. How they do this for 80 guests is beyond me…. Pure professionalism !! THANKYOU xxxxx

Lasts nights effects from the super moon along with the sunset were just magical @chateaudebrives We had a wonderful pre wedding event with Cognac cocktails in Chez George, canapés and drinks served under the tree by @novelle_traiteur followed by cheese and dessert on the back terrace! With yet another heatwave here in France and still

With yet another heatwave here in France and still in full wedding season we are so grateful to have plenty of shady options here @chateaudebrives for the ceremony and again for the drinks reception afterwards!! We of course have the beautiful village church which was built by M Dupuy d’Angeac who built the Chateau and then gifted the church to the village. We also have the giant Holme oak tree in the center of the park which pre dates the chateau ( so more than 200yrs old) then we have the forest area that leads up to the Cognac vines of @cognaccroizet and the beautiful avenue of Lime trees ( Tilleul in French) to the West of the Chateau that provides beautiful natural shade also. So so very lucky! ❤️❤️❤️

THANKYOU to @emmabillsborough for this gorgeous photo of the grand salon here @chateaudebrives The light is fantastic. This wedding season has been wonderful in the sense that we’ve met so many extremely talented suppliers. Having all been hit terribly by the two previous years it’s been fabulous to get out out and work and do what we all do best. There’s been a very strong team spirit and a special feeling of being “normal” again. Long may it continue ❤️❤️❤️

Last night we had a gorgeous dinner out with Maria

Last night we had a gorgeous dinner out with Mariam & Jono from @domainedelasalle and Mariam delivered the pots I made a few months back with Agnes from @ceramiqueaugresdes It was the most wonderful day being totally absorbed at the most charming pottery school I’ve ever come across. OK my pots are wonky etc but it doesn’t matter, it’s the fact that I had the most blissful day between friends trying something new. I HIGHLY recommend you have a go xxxx
